How We Started
My preschool adventure began when I was teaching 2nd grade online during the COVID shutdown. With my son needing another year of preschool and the exciting news of my second little one on the way, I realized my passion for teaching could blend beautifully with my desire to be more present with my children. I loved my time in public schools, but I knew I wanted to play a more active role in shaping my children's early educational experiences. I created this cozy preschool to nurture both my own children and others in our community through creativity, play, and outdoor exploration.

At Thalia’s Garden Preschool, our mission is to support children each day in a joyful, nurturing environment where they feel seen, safe, and inspired. Through meaningful play, creative expression, and hands-on exploration—both individually and in groups—we encourage children to stretch their boundaries, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.​
Meet Your Teachers
Hello! I'm the owner of Thalia's Garden Preschool as well as a mom to two young boys, one of whom is in my program. I have a background in visual arts (BFA in painting and printmaking) and over 10 years of experience teaching preschool through 5th grade. After earning my Master’s in Teaching, I became a licensed educator in Washington. I love gardening, hiking, biking, messy art projects, playing music, and adventuring with my family. I’d love to welcome your little one into our joyful learning space!
